Final (divorce or dissolution) order (previously decree absolute in divorce proceedings)

The final court order in divorce proceedings or dissolution proceedings. It means the marriage or civil partnership is legally at an end, and the parties are free to remarry.
In divorce proceedings issued before 6 April 2022, this final order is called a decree absolute.
