For the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, in relation to a company, a day that is not a Saturday or Sunday, Christmas Day, Good Friday or any day that is a bank holiday under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971 in the part of the UK where the company is registered (section 1173(1), Companies Act 2006).
