Government publishes response to consultation on reform of non-compete clauses in employment contracts and impact assessment for proposed reform

The government has published its response to the 2020 consultation on reform of non-compete clauses in employment contracts, in which it confirms that it intends to introduce a statutory cap on non-compete clauses in employment and worker contracts of three months. The consultation response was published alongside an impact assessment of the proposed reform.
