Introduction of Business and Property Courts of England and Wales from June 2017

by Practical Law Dispute Resolution
The judiciary has announced on 13 March 2017 that from June 2017, the specialist civil courts are to be known as the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales.
Note: Since publication of the original press release announcing a June launch date, matters have now moved on. On 2 June 2017, it was confirmed to us that the new Business and Property Courts will be rolled out from 4 July 2017 (when there will be a launch event in London) through the launches in other cities, up to 2 October 2017, when cases will start to be issued as Business and Property Courts cases on CE-File. The original target June launch event was delayed due to the calling of the general election.
