No requirement for knowledge beyond service to commit for contempt (Court of Appeal)
In Cuciurean v Secretary of State for Transport and another [2021] EWCA Civ 357, the Court of Appeal unanimously rejected the argument that, to succeed on an application to commit for contempt, an applicant needed to be able to demonstrate knowledge of the order breached on the part of the alleged contemnor, over and above the requirement for service.
