English jurisdiction clause covers tort claims for wrongful arrest (High Court)

In Eastern Pacific Chartering Inc v Pola Maritime Ltd [2021] EWHC 1707 (Comm), the court held that a jurisdiction clause in a charterparty was applicable to claims in tort for wrongful arrest of a ship. The court refused to stay the English proceedings notwithstanding prior proceedings in Gibraltar.
