The Civil Procedure (Amendment No 3) Rules 2023 (SI 2023/788) were laid before Parliament on 14 July 2023 and will come into force on 1 October 2023, except where otherwise stated.
The 157th and 158th Practice Direction (PD) Updates and an associated Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) Update were published on 18 July 2023. The 157th PD Update (in force from various dates in July 2023) and the 158th PD Update (in force from 1 October 2023, except where otherwise stated) amend several PDs. The PAP Update (in force from 1 October 2023) contains mainly minor consequential amendments to two PAPs.
